Description

Short title: Duke of Lenox v Besson.

Plaintiff(s): Lewis Duke of Lenox.

Defendant(s): Anthony Besson, Richard Besson, Richard Kettlewell, Geoffrey Pratt, Edmund Pratt, George Metcalf.

Subject of depositions: Manor or lordship of Wennesladale, and lands in Wenslaydale, on the north of the River Yore, between the town of Askrigg and Hellgill, and parcel of the King's forest of Wensladale and township of Bainbring, and also parcel of the King's manors of Richmond or Midleham? Customs of manor of Wensladale. Survey. [The names of Lord Scroop, as chief lord of Wensladale, Matthew Earl of Lenox, and Lady Margaret his wife, are mentioned].
