Defendant(s): Alexander Hill, John Thompson.
Subject of depositions: Mills called "Obridge Mills" (of plaintiffs) and "Horsemills" (of defendants); whether the horsemills are built on overland or bond land, or coate, etc? Whether the "Obridge" have compounded for tithes and what rent they have paid to the Bishop of Winchester? What mills are there, and their names in the manor of Taunton and Taunton Deane; and what tithes do they pay? Are the inhabitants of Taunton bound to grind and do sute unto the mills? Customs of manor. Survey. Did the Bishop of Winchester in Queen Elizabeth's time pay or does he now pay, two hundred pounds yearly to the King for such tithes?.
