Subject of depositions: Lands of Sir William Blakiston, kt, a recusant, lying in the bishopric of Durham, two thirds of which were granted by Letters Patent, under Exchequer Seal at Westminster, dated 26 February 41 Eliz, to Henry Sanderson, of Newcastle, gent, and the other third was allotted to Sir William according to Statute. Touching extortion of rent (by Henry Sanderson in collusion with one Dixon, a pretended messenger from the Lord Treasurer of England) from the tenants of the recusant third part, and threat to Marmaduke Blakiston, prebendary of Durham, with view to extort money. Also touching revocation of the Letters Patent, dated 24 September 42 Eliz 1600, signed by Lord Treasurer Buckhurst.
