Description

Short title: Boynton v Strickland.

Plaintiff(s): Sir Francis Boynton.

Defendant(s): Walter Strickland.

Subject of depositions: Rectory of Bridlington, formerly belonging to the monastery of Bridlington, leased by Queen Elizabeth to William Wood. Has the plaintiff the interest thereof? Whether the chapel of Awburn and the tithes in Awburn are parcel of rectory? The chapel said to have been "held by way of sequestration from the Archbishop of York." Survey. [The town of Carnebie and Sir John Stanhope are mentioned].

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 22 November 1605.
