Description

Short title: Brants v Prescott.

Plaintiff(s): Gabriel Brants.

Defendant(s): Hugh Prescott.

Subject of depositions: The sheriff of Nottingham (Sir John Byron), the under-sheriff (Hugh Prescott), and the bailiff of the wapentake or hundred of Bassett Lowe (William the elder). Touching a bond or obligation given by the elder, Brants, and one Wildbore to Sir John Byron, as security for the due execution of the office of bailiff, and forfeiture of the bond. Survey.

County/place: Nottinghamshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1605.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 14 January 1606 at Nottingham.
