Description

Short title: France v Snell.

Plaintiff(s): Hugh France.

Defendant(s): Robert Snell, Robert Ellyson.

Subject of depositions: Lands belonging to plaintiff's late father, Hugh France, and before him to John Fox, in Worsburydale. Touching lease of same from Queen Elizabeth to H France, deceased, said to have been intrusted to defendants as security; whether assigned by France to Ralph Medley, and by Medley to William Pennell? Survey.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1605.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 15 April 1605 at Rotherham.
