Description

Short title: Smith v Smith.

Plaintiff(s): Henry Smith, Bridget Byrom, widow.

Defendant(s): Matthew Smith, William Scott, John Gibbes, Alice Smith.

Subject of depositions: Manors of Blackland and Corsham, lately belonging to Robert Smith, and Thingley Farm, in Thingley, and four messuages and five closes in the manor of Corsham, which came to Henry, Mattw. and Philip Smith. Touching surrenders made by Phillip (said to be a lunatic). Survey. Customs of manors.

County/place: Wiltshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1605.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 25 March 1605 at Chippenham.
