Description

Plaintiff(s): The Attorney General.

Defendant(s): Ralph Bostok, Randal Vernon the elder, H. Whittingham, Randle Pool, Randle Hulse, Robert Warrell, Raffe Walley, Oliver Vernon, Charles Mainwaring, Thomas Yates, Randle Pickmer, Robert Horton, William Venables, William Baylie, Randle Vernon theyounger, Hugh Snelson, Thomas Buckley otherwise Bulkeley.

Subject of depositions: Town of Middlewich. Are the said manor, borow, and town, parcel of the ancient possessions of the earldom of Chester, and does it adjoin the manor of Kinderton? Touching the burges courts held therein; the walling or making of salt, etc. Customs of town. Survey. [The names of Dame Elizabeth Egerton, widow of Sir Thomas Egerton, Thomas Venables, of Kynderton (her father), and brinepitts in Namptwich, are mentioned].
