Description

Short title: Chaworth v Hurte.

Plaintiff(s): Henry Chaworth.

Defendant(s): Richard Hurte, John Watkis.

Subject of depositions: Water corn-mill, called "Hare Mill" otherwise "Kirk Mill" in Radford, and a close in Lenton, lately held by Richard Houghton, of Nottingham, under a lease from late Queen to Earl of Rutland. Touching conveyance thereof from Houghton to Thomas Houthwet, and payment of rent therefor to Her Majesty by Houghton to Mr Worrall, Receiver-General. [The names of Barton, Rebecca, and Edward Goodwin, Thomas Thornley, vicar of Radford, and Gamble, are mentioned].

County/place: Nottinghamshire.

Date of commission: 15 June 1604.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 28 September 1604 at a town of Nottingham.
