Description

Short title: Heaton v Pocklington.

Plaintiff(s): Richard Heaton.

Defendant(s): Thomas Pocklington.

Subject of depositions: Lands in Swinflett and Rednes, late of William Stephenson (a recusant). Lease under Great Seal of late Queen to James Sisson of two parts of such lands. Previous proceedings in Court of Exchequer. Sale of Sisson's estate by defendant to complainant for £30 under a bond of £60. Was the said money the defendant's, or Stephenson's, or for his use? etc.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 27 June 1604.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 1 October 1604 at Wetherby Chapel.
