Description

Short title: Martin v Greenhill.

Plaintiff(s): Roger Martin, Roger Markes, Walter Markes, Robert Hancock, and the rest of the copyholders of the manor of Steple Ashton.

Defendant(s): John Greenhill.

Subject of depositions: King's manor of Steepleashton, formerly belonging to Lord Seymour, of Sudeley, Lord High Admiral; whether any of the tenants' estates were called in question by the Marquis of Winchester, sometime Lord Treasurer, or his son? Touching right of common on lands called "Alberry ", "Normead ", "Raydowne" and "Laydowne." Customs and usages. Touching sale of farm by Marquis of Winchester to defendant, and impeachment of the tenants' rights thereby.
