Description

Short title: Nevell v Gravener.

Plaintiff(s): The Hon. Edward Nevell, of Abergavenny, William Sedles and Elizabeth his wife, Lady Abergavenny.

Defendant(s): Edward Gravener, Samuel Saunders, John Bowne, John Symcoe and Mary his wife.

Subject of depositions: Assessment of fines upon the copyholders of the manors of Allesley and Fillongley, belonging to Lord Abergavenny. Customs of manor touching right of tenants to assess fines on descent and surrender. Austin's surrender to Gravener.

County/place: Warwickshire.

Date of commission: 27 June 1604.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 4 October 1604 at Birmingham.
