Description

Short title: Sparry v Morris.

Plaintiff(s): John Sparry.

Defendant(s): Isbrand Morris.

Subject of depositions: Capital messuage called "The Cock" at Dowgate, in the parish of Great Allhallows, in Thames Street, the ancient inheritance of Walter Langriche; about 4 Edw IV. Whether conveyed to John Cressy, late of London, deceased? WasCressy seized of tenements in Great Allhallows aforesaid? [The names of Sir Edward Stanley, William Thomas and Mary, John Davies, of Kegeiley (Shropshire), William Snosman and Jane, Davie Davies, Edward Hancock and Mary, John and Jane Spickernell, and Humphrey Wright are mentioned in connexion with rent and purchase of rooms in such capital messuage.] Whether a rent roll of 25 Henry VIII shewed that the capital messuage paid 6s 8d a year to the dissolved house of the Minories? Whether it was held by lease of the Minories and concealed on dissolution? Did Thomas or Walter Langridge lease it to Ellen Arnold or William Babington? Was William Babington seized of same in 16th year of Eliz? Tallow nuisance therein. Conveyance of messuage from Sir Edward Stanley to John Cressy.
