Description

Short title: Sutton v Sutton.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Sutton.

Defendant(s): George Sutton, George Rodiard, George Feades, Philip Aran, Richard Dale.

Subject of depositions: Manor or late priory of Kingsmead, commonly called "The Nunrie of Darbie" near Darbie (Derbyshire). Survey. A lease of the premises to Thomas Sutton (plaintiff's father), at arent of £8 19s 8d. A grant by the Crown, dated 22 November 33 Henry VIII, to Francis Earl of Shrewsbury, and by him conveyed to Thomas Sutton (plaintiff's father); another by Letters Patent under Great Seal (about 9 December 36 Henry VIII) to Thomas Sutton (plaintiff's father), at a reserved annual rent of 9s 2d; another, by Patent, dated 13 May 7 Edward VI, of part of said premises (not previously granted by Edward VI or Henry VIII) to John Wright and Thomas Holmes; and Allan Sutton; are mentioned.

County/place: Derbyshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1602.
