Description

Short title: Hirne v Hamond.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Hirne.

Defendant(s): Edward Hamond, clerk, George Sawer, William Batch, Robert Easton, and others, Her Majesty's tenants and lessees for years of Her Highnes' manor of Cawston (Norfolk), and the inhabitants of Cawston.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Cawston (Norfolk), formerly in the possession of Sir James Bullyne, kt, "a piece of common called `Blackbridge Moor' and `Blackheath,' in Cawston, lying between the grounds of Anthony Page, sometime of Sir Christopher Heydon, kt, and the bounds of the town of Owlton" (Norfolk), and other commons in Cawston, Heverland, Hevingham, Marsham, and Aylsham. Metes and bounds. Common of pasture.

County/place: Norfolk.

Date of commission: 30 June 1601.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 24 August 1601 at Norwich.
