Description

Short title: Meares v Burdhead.

Plaintiff(s): John Meares, farmer to the Crown.

Defendant(s): Thomas Burdhead, Robert East, John Macres, Thomas Browne, William Callis, William East.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to an acre of ground formerly occupied by Mr Stamp, John Jake, Robert Underwater, and William Brown, parcel of the late abbey of Ovelstone alias Owlston (Leicestershire), and lands in Donington (Leicestershire), and Bicker (Lincoln?), late of Thomas Bothamsayle, late of Wigtoft (Lincolnshire); whether they are "concealed lands "?.

County/place: Leicestershire; Lincolnshire.

Date of commission: 22 May 1601.
