Description

Short title: Abbey v Hill.

Plaintiff(s): Robert Abbey.

Defendant(s): Richard Hill, Henry Abbey, Anthony Abbey.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Tockwith, and the town and manor of Cattle, the city of York, York, the bridge over the river of Nidd, and the commons adjoining; whether called "Tockwith Westmoore" (as stated by plaintiff) or "Cattall Moore" as defendant states. Whether the middle of the bridge is the boundary of the counties. Metes and bounds. Perambulation. Common of pasture. [Tithes payable to the vicar of Housingore are mentioned].

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 27 June 1599.
