Description

Short title: Bligh v King.

Plaintiff(s): Christopher Bligh.

Defendant(s): Phillip King, John Ashby.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Treworgie (Cornwall), parcel of the duchy of Cornwall. Touching "acquittances" for payments of rent for lands held of the manor in Treworgie Trespaddocks, and the moiety of Her Majesty's lands in Crannock. [Grants of the manor under Great Seal, dated 14 May 7 Eliz, to Thomas Gerrard, Humfry Helston, and John Glass; and another of 22 Sept 21 Eliz to Ralph Staverton, and John Kempthorne, bailiff of the manor, are mentioned].

County/place: Cornwall.

Date of commission: 21 May 1599.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 6 August 1599 at St Collums and 15 September 1599 at Launceston.
