Description

Short title: Brown v Hurstcroft.

Plaintiff(s): George Brown and his wife Elizabeth.

Defendant(s): Francis Hurstcroft and his wife Elizabeth.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to lands in Barrow (Lincolnshire). [A grant of land by Letters Patent, 1 February 18 Eliz, to John Cook, clerk, for the yearly rent of 22s, and let by him to Margaret Falconer and Jon Ion. The name of Thomas Kirk, grant of the premises by the Crown, 30 May 29 Eliz, to John Taylor, of London, William Serjeant, executor of said John Cook, grant of the land by the steward of Barrow Manor to John Cook, Elizabeth Kirk (late wife of Thomas Kirk), and Edward Kirk their son, are mentioned].

County/place: Lincolnshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1597.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 18 January 1598 at Glamford Bridge.
