Description

Short title: Countess of Arundel v Waller.

Plaintiff(s): Anne Countess of Arundel.

Defendant(s): Ralph Waller, Henry Spilman, Thomas Wynde, Henry Basterd.

Subject of depositions: Chase near King's Lynn (Norfolk), called "Rising Chase" and a warren therein, and the town, manor, and fields of Congham. Right of warren on the chase. Metes and bounds. Customs of chase. Tithes payable to the parsons of Congham for such warren. [The names of Thomas Cann, George Girlington, and Lancelot Bell, sometime farmers of Congham Manor, and of Thomas Thursby, Raffe Walker, Edmund Chartress, John Norris, Mr Might, William Gell, Thomas Timperley, and Geoffrey Cobbe, sometime farmers of Rising Warren, Frances Spilman (mother of plaintiff), and Francis Thursby, are mentioned].

Date of commission: 15 June 1597.
