Description

Short title: Roote v Barker.

Plaintiff(s): John Roote, William Collin, William Hudson.

Defendant(s): Thomas Barker, William Foe, Thomas Massey, Seathe Pavy, Henry Sawford, Leonard Fawcitt, Leonard Dale.

Subject of depositions: Towns of Deeping alias Market Deeping and West Deeping, and the commons or wastes belonging, "Deeping Fen" lying between the marsh of Langtoft on the west, and "Spalding Fen" and "Pinchbeck Fen" on the east; also touching grounds called "The Fleets" alias "Towngate Fleets." Common of pasture. Metes and bounds.

County/place: Lincolnshire.

Date of commission: 15 June 1597.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 15 September 1597 at Market Deping.
