Description

Short title: Earl of Sussex v Gray.

Plaintiff(s): Robert Earl of Essex.

Defendant(s): Andrew Gray.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Bennington (Hertfordshire), late of Henry, late Earl of Essex; touching lands there lately belonging to William A'Bury. Customs of manor. [The names of Robert Bedle, William, late Marquis of Northampton, and the Lady Anne his wife, daughter and heir of said Henry, Walter, late Earl of Essex, Clemens, wife of said William A'Bury, his daughter Ann, Richard Bedle; a grant of the manor to Walter, late Earl of Essex, by Queen Elizabeth, at a fee-farm rent of 44l. 4s. 2½d. are mentioned].

County/place: Hertford.
