Description

Short title: Small v Chapman.

Plaintiff(s): Humfrey Small, the Queen's farmer of her parsonage impropriate of Bolles-over.

Defendant(s): Richard Chapman, clerk, John Butler, Richard Cade.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to the tithes of lands in Stanfrowe, commonly called Shitlewood Close or Legat Close, and others in thepart of Shitlewood towards Stavely, called Flaxcroft, in the parishes of Bolsover and Clowne. Metes and bounds. Tithes.

County/place: Derbyshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1597.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 25 March 1597 at Bolsover, delivered into Court 3 May 1597.
