Description

Short title: Thacker v Harper.

Plaintiff(s): Gilbert Thacker.

Defendant(s): John Harper, William Bull, William Pratt, Ralph Cantrell.

Subject of depositions: Town of Mylton, and the town and priory of Repton alias Repingdon (Derbyshire), and the commons and waste grounds there. Common of pasture. Custom of "suit and grist" to the mills there. Alleged interference with such custom by defendants. [The names and possessions of Godfrey Ryvett, Henry Ryvett, father of Godfrey, and Godfrey Poole (plaintiff's father-in-law), are mentioned].

County/place: Derbyshire.

Date of commission: 29 November 1596.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 10 January 1597 at Repton.
