Short title: Frevile v Sampson.
Plaintiff(s): George Frevile.
Defendant(s): John Sampson.
Subject of depositions: Lands called "Staindropp Carres ", "Old Staindrop Twenty Acres ", "Bell Hill ", "Black Ellers" and "Kirkstane" in the fields of Staindrop, and parcel of the lordship of Raby (Durham) Touching a lease granted by Chas. lateEarl of Westmorland, to William Lee and Elizabeth his wife, and by her assigned to defendant. Touching the authenticity of the signature of George Stafford (constable of Brancepath Castle), sometime servant to the Earl; "whether the seal wherewith the said George Stafford did usually seal his writinge had a `Stafford knott' engraven, and that the said George Stafford in writing his name usually drew two Stafford knotts, one in the head of the first G, thiother in the foot of the last G. "?.
