Touching the authenticity of the signature of George Stafford (constable of Brancepath Castle), sometime servant to the Earl; "whether the seal wherewith the said George Stafford did usually seal his writinge had a `Stafford knott' engraven, and that the said George Stafford in writing his name usually drew two Stafford knotts, one in the head of the first G, thiother in the foot of the last G.
