Description

Short title: Broome v Culpepper.

Plaintiff(s): George Broome.

Defendant(s): Martin Culpepper, M.D. Robert Crane, M.A.

Subject of depositions: Alleged intrusion by defendants into meadow ground and pasture in "Northam Meadow" and "Botley Meadow" in the hundred of Northgate. [Sir Chas. Brome, knight (plaintiff's father), fee farmer to Queen Elizabeth by Letters Patent of the manor of Hedington, and the hundreds of Bullingdon and Northgate, at a yearly rent of £40. Phillip Rondell, principal of Harthall, and Henry Toldervey, of the city of Oxford, are mentioned].

County/place: Oxfordshire.

Date of commission: 30 June 1596.
