Description

Short title: Milbanks v Delavale.

Plaintiff(s): Edmund Milbanks, Thomas Otway, Robert Hall, and others, Her Majesty's tenants of Tinmouth (Northumberland).

Defendant(s): Peter Delavale.

Subject of depositions: "The seven towns" within the manor of Tinmouth (Northumberland), called Chirton, Preston, Whitley, Munckseaton, Earsden, Murton, and Backworth; parcel of the late priory of Tinmouth. Touching the payment by the tenants in such towns of half their rent in corn, and their objections to the corn measure in use.

County/place: Northumberland.

Date of commission: 25 June 1596.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 24 August 1596 at Newcastle-on-Tyne.
