Short title: Dunt v Spilman.
Plaintiff(s): John Dunt alias Fisher.
Defendant(s): Clement Spilman, lord of the manor of Marham.
Subject of depositions: Manor of Oldhall, in Marham (Norfolk), and lands called "Channon's Fenn ", "Startwill's Land ", "Tom's Yearde ", "Monk's Fenn" and "Lacheles' Landes" and lands in Marham, sometime belonging to Sir John Chun, clerk. Touching the sums of money hitherto paid (since the death of Sir John Spelman, kt), and payable for such lands towards the "taske" (i.e. tax), granted by Parliament to the Queen. Alleged refusal of defendant to pay to the constable of the town of Marham the sum of 13s 4d due for the premises, and detention by the defendant of the "task book" whereby the task was collected.
County/place: Norfolk.
