Subject of depositions: "Aulnage and measuring of clothes" with reference to the provisions of the Statute of 27 Edward 3. Touching a grant by Letters Patent of Queen Elizabeth to Lawrence Radford (former husband to plaintiff Margaret), of a lease for 60 years of the subsidy and aulnage of all woollen cloths to be sold within the county, and the city of York, and in the town of Kingston-upon-Hull. Alleged refusal of defendants ( "clothiers ") to pay "aulnage" and "subsidy" to plaintiffs.
