Description

Short title: Freville v Clopton.

Plaintiff(s): George Freville.

Defendant(s): William Clopton, Robert Penruddock, James Dale, Charles Hedworth, John Sampson.

Subject of depositions: "Three parks of Raby" (Durham), called "The East Park ", "Middle Park" and "West Park" a close called "The Horse Close" alias "The Crowes" a farm called "The Highwood of Langley" and several other closes. Touching leases of the premises from the Crown, one to Walter Windsor, "one of Her Majesty's gentlemen pensioners" and another to plaintiff. Value of the premises.

County/place: Durham.

Date of commission: 11 February 1596.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 29 March 1596 at Bishops Aicklande.
