Description

Short title: Cadwallader v Matthew.

Plaintiff(s): John Cadwallader and Helen his wife.

Defendant(s): Jevan Matthew.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to certain lands called "Gwern, in Helygos" and "Lleyne Hirion" in the township of Brynloweirche, parcel of the lordship of Kery (Montgomeryshire). Customs of manor. [The names of William Morris, Jevan ap Morgan, Edmond Yongh, and David ap John ap Jevan Lloyd, are mentioned.] [Also the lands called "Lleyne Hirion" (above-named) are said to be known by the name of "Tyr Phillip Vaughan. "].

County/place: Montgomeryshire.

Date of commission: 12 February 1596.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 24 March 1596 at the parish church of Llanvihangel in Kery, Montgomery.
