Description

Short title: Scarth v Scarth.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Scarth, the younger, of Great Busby (Yorkshire).

Defendant(s): Thomas Scarth, the elder, of Carleton.

Subject of depositions: Right and title to a messuage or tenement, and five oxgangs of land in Carleton, held by lease of Matthew, late Earl of Lennox, and Lady Margaret his wife. [Francis and Robert Scarth (defendant's brothers), and William Scarth (father of plaintiff and defendant), are mentioned].

County/place: Yorkshire; Northumberland.

Date of commission: 12 February 1596.
