Description

Short title: Lancaster v Lowther.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Lancaster.

Defendant(s): Gerrard Lowther, Cuthbert Sisson, Thomas Marks, Robert Hodgson, Edmund Sisson, Thomas Bristow, and all other of Her Majesty's tenants of Dacre, Sowlby, Newbiggin, and Stainton.

Subject of depositions: Towns of Dacre, Sowlby, Newbiggin, and Stainton (Cumberland and Westmorland), and Dacre Park and Dacre Castle, forfeited to the Crown by attainder. Claim of the defendants to "Haybounds" in Dacre park. Customs of manor. Survey. [The possessions of Lord William Dacre, Leonard Dacre, attainted, Mr Wiseman (farmer to Her Majesty), Lord George Dacre, Her Majesty's tenants in Graistock, Martindall, and Gowbertye, and the customs of said manors are mentioned].
