Description

Short title: Ward v Baptist.

Plaintiff(s): Edmond Ward, under-sheriff, to Thomas Pelham, in the 32nd year of Queen Elizabeth.

Defendant(s): John Baptist, goldsmith.

Subject of depositions: Manors of East Harting and West Harting (Sussex), lately Henry Knivett's, esq, in the right of Mawdlen his wife, "extended to the Queen's use for adebt of the said Henry Knevett's set over to Her Ma'tie by Jane Bash, widow." Touching a distress upon defendant's goods made by the said under-sheriff.

County/place: Sussex.

Date of commission: 9 July 1595.
