Description

Short title: Fermor v Astrye.

Plaintiff(s): Sir George Fermor, kt, Dame Mary his wife, George Skidmore.

Defendant(s): Thomas Astrye, Marian Stephens, widow, Robert Beale.

Subject of depositions: Manor of Westning alias Westoning (Bedfordshire), in possession of plaintiff (Fermor); concerning right and title to lands in Westning, lately belonging to Bartholomew Stephens, and after to John Stephens his son; whether the lands are copyhold of the Queen's manor of Pulloxhill (Bedfordshire), or fee simple. Customs of the manor of Westning.

County/place: Bedfordshire.

Date of commission: 29 April 1595.
