Description

Short title: Errington v Jenison.

Plaintiff(s): Ralph Errington, of Binkfield (Northumberland).

Defendant(s): John Jenison.

Subject of depositions: Capital messuage and demesne lands of the manor of Clesby alias Cleisby (Yorkshire), granted by Letters Patent, 14 Eliz, to John Errington, plaintiff's brother, and formerly belonging to George Norton and Margaret his wife, and a lease in reversion to Richard Allen, and (as is alleged by defendant) by the "procurement" of defendant. [The possessions of plaintiff at `Binkfield (Northumberland), Edward Allandson, of Clesby, former husband of Margaret, Christopher Pickering, third husband of Margaret, a grant by Queen Elizabeth to Richard Allen, "vallect of the henchmen" in consideration of the surrender of an annuity of £40 granted to him by Her Majesty (for term of his life), of the rectory or parsonage of Petworth (Sussex), and the demesnes of Clesby, for the term of 31 years, and grant of same by Richard to Thomas Jenison (defendant's father), and the marriage of defendant with Mary the daughter of Sir Thomas Gerrard, kt, and her maintenance, are mentioned].
