Description

Short title: Frevill v Hodgson.

Plaintiff(s): George Frevill.

Defendant(s): William Hodgson.

Subject of depositions: Parks of Branspeth (Durham), and a close called "The Ladye Close" and a lease thereof from the Crown, procured by Sir William Pelham, at the request of Jane, late Countess of Westmorland. Also concerning the parks of Raby (Durham), lately belonging to Cuthbert Nevell and Henry Ridley, attainted, and a lease thereof procured by Barnard Dewhurst Also touching the sale of "Oxnard Field" to Captain Brickwell, by Elizabeth Lee, widow of William Lee.

County/place: Durham.

Date of commission: 6 February 1595.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 15 April 1595 at Durham.
