Description

Short title: Layton v Sayers.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Layton, Anthony Stevenson, Henry Kildon alias Kiddell, Philip Gregory, Andrew Taylor, John Lockwood, Marmaduke Robinson.

Defendant(s): George Sayers.

Subject of depositions: Grant by Crown, dated 12 March 15 Eliz, under the Great Seal, to Thomas Layton, Anthony Stevenson, Henry Kildon alias Kildell (plaintiffs), and Ralph Smith, deceased, of lands in Cleasby, parcel of Cleasby Manor, at a rent of £11 13s 8d for 21 years. Concerning a release of the lands procured by defendant, and negociations for their sale to plaintiffs.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 28 November 1594.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 9 January 1595 at Richmond.
