Description

Short title: Attorney General v Parry.

Plaintiff(s): Attorney General, by the relation of Robert ap Hugh.

Defendant(s): Richard Parry.

Subject of depositions: Lands called "Tythyn y Brynye" in Eryvrat (Denbighshire), and "Ithin Garrw Issa ", "y Keven ", "y Kay Dan y Keven ", "Bryn yollin Ucha ", "Bryn yollin Yssa ", "Cay yr wayn Ucha ", "Cay yr wayn Yssa ", "Bryn Dynod ", "y Cay Carregog Ucha ", "y Cay Carregog Yssa ", "Cay Wyberle ", "y kryn gaye "; whether they are parcel of Her Majesty's "escheat" lands of Eryvrat; whether granted by Henry VIII to Thomas ap Gronow (deceased), and demised by Thomas to Henry ap Robert and Thomas Lloyd ap Eden. Touching the Earl of Leicester's lordship of Denbigh, and the escheat lands therein.

County/place: Denbighshire.

Date of commission: 19, 20 and 21 June 1594.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 23 September 1594 at the parish church of Llansanan, certificate dated 30 September 1594.
