Description

Short title: Smyth v Lane.

Plaintiff(s): William Smyth, William Alport, the younger, Gibbt. Wakering, Thomas Smyth, John Saunder, William Chapman, Rowland Collins, John Hodgkinson, tenants of HM, in the aftermentioned townships.

Defendant(s): John Lane, son of Thomas Lane, Thomas Davies, William Adams.

Subject of depositions: Parcel of enclosed ground called "Bentley Hay" and the forest of Cannock alias Canke, the towns, of Willenhall, Walsall, Great Bloxwich, Little Bloxwich, Darlaston, Caldemore, Harden, and Shelfield, the "Schole of Queen Mary" in Walsall. Alleged encroachment on the forest by the enclosure of "Bentley Hay." Right of common in such "Hay" of the inhabitants of the townships. Metes and bounds of the forest Perambulation of the towns, tempore Edward 1.
