Description

Short title: Marke v Lancaster.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Marke, Robert Hodgson, Edward Sisson, William Briscoe, and all other Her Majesty's tenants of the lordships of Dacre, Soulby, Steinton, and Newbiggin.

Defendant(s): Thomas Lancaster, John Lancaster.

Subject of depositions: Manors of Dacre, Soulby, Steinton, and Newbiggin, and Dacre Park (Cumberland), parcel of the possessions of William Lord Dacre, deceased, and afterwards of his son Leonard Dacre, attainted. Metes and bounds. Customs of manors, Common of pasture. Tithes. [The customs of the manors of Graistock, Martindaille, Gawberrowe, and Moosedaill, parcel of manor of Dacre, and lately belonging to Leonard, are mentioned].

County/place: Cumberland.

Date of commission: 4 July 1593.
