Description

Short title: Atkinson v Bland.

Plaintiff(s): Anthony Atkinson.

Defendant(s): William Bland, (one of the four general surveyors for custom causes in all the outports), William Coniers, Thomas Ogglethrop, John Keymer, William Wigges.

Subject of depositions: Port of Kingston-upon-Hull (Yorkshire). The execution of the office of searcher. [The raising of the customs of the port from £1,100 or £1,200 to £2,800 or £2,900 yearly, by plaintiff (late searcher there), is mentioned.

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 4 July 1593.
