Description

Short title: Attorney General v Waller.

Plaintiff(s): Attorney General (Sir John Popham).

Defendant(s): Ralph Waller, Henry Spilman, Thomas Wind, Edmund Bastard, Erasmus Spilman.

Subject of depositions: Chace called"The Rising Chace" (Norfolk), and the castle and manor of Rising, and the towns of South Wotton and Congham (Norfolk), parcel of the possessions of the late Philip Earl of Arundel, of high treason attainted. Alleged encroachment and trespass by defendants on the demesnes. Metes and bounds. Right of warren. Customs of manors. [George Girtlington and Launcelot Bell, bailiffs of Congham Manor, Edmund Chartress, Thomas Timperley, and Geoffrey Cobb, farmers of Rising Warren, Wevelinghouse, in the hamlet of Weveling, in Grimston, the manor of Morleys, in Grimston, Sir Roger Woodhouse, Humfrey Jordan, Francis Bastard, and William Heydon, are mentioned].
