Description

Short title: Birks v Hodds.

Plaintiff(s): Francis Birks, Robert Spatchelt, bailiffs of the town of Dunwich (Suffolk), and the burgesses of the town.

Defendant(s): John Hodds, Thomas Grene, John Cocks, Robert Slathe, Thomas Mene, William Cley, Thomas Jentleman, the elder, John Frith, the elder, Robert Simpson, William Jentleman, John Gravett, William Jones, John Langham, Robert Large, Richard Jentleman, Peter Corse, James Bowles, John Galloway, Simon Hart, Thomas Harvey, Matthew Sparke, William Raide, John Romsey, William Gould, John Walker, John Bartlett, inhabitants of Southwold town.

Subject of depositions: Towns of Dunwich, Southwold, and Walderswick, and the haven belonging to those towns. Metes and bounds. Customs and privileges. Interests and jurisdiction of the towns in the haven.
