Description

Short title: Hirde v Lindethe.

Plaintiff(s): John Hirde, James Barwick, John Cookson, and other of the Queen's customary tenants of Richmond; lands held by tenant in the parish of Wynandermere [Windermere] in Troutbeck and Ambleside in the same parish of Richmond, in the barony of Kendal (Westmorland).

Defendant(s): John Lindethe alias Lyndoe, clerk, parson of Wynandermere.

Subject of depositions: Park or forest in the parish of Wynandermere (Westmorland), called "The Old Park." Metes and bounds. Survey. Tithes.

County/place: Westmorland.

Date of commission: 12 November 1591.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 31 March 1592 at Patterdall.
