Description

Short title: Crase v Stote.

Plaintiff(s): Thomas Crase, Nicholas Pristone.

Defendant(s): Richard Stote.

Subject of depositions: Payment of the second 15th or 10th granted to the Queen by the Parliament held in the 31st year of Queen Elizabeth by the parishes of Winscombe and Shiplade, in the hundred of Winterstock. Distraint upondefendant for non-payment of such subsidy. Concerning the manor of Shiplade, whether it lies in Winscombe or Bladon. Whether the parish of Loxton lies between Bledon and Winscombe. Touching the lands of Edmond and William Huntley, esquires, in Winscombe.

County/place: Somerset.

Date of commission: 29 November 1591.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 17 January 1592 at Longford, in parish of Wrington.
