Description

Short title: Parker v Jones.

Plaintiff(s): John Parker.

Defendant(s): William Jones, Griffith Hughes.

Subject of depositions: Possessions belonging to the office of constableship of the castle of Holt. Whether a meadow called "Constable's meadow" in Coid Eva, in the lordship of Bromfield (Denbighshire), was leased by the Crown to Richard Eyton, formerly constable of the castle, and afterwards enjoyed by Lancelot Bostock, successor to Eyton in the office. [Lancelot Loather, Thomas Powell, David Price, of Yale, and Serjeant Eiton, sometimes constables of the castle, are mentioned].

County/place: Denbighshire.

Date of commission: 23 November 1591.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 10 January 1592 at Wrexham.
