Description

Short title: Riggs v Barfort.

Plaintiff(s): John Riggs.

Defendant(s): John Barfort, clerk, Archdeacon of Lincoln.

Subject of depositions: Township of Beckingham, the manor of Holme Sutton alias Holme Spine and Fenton. Metes and bounds. Touching right and title to tithes in Beckingham, called Bardney tithes, parcel of the late abbeyof Bardney (Lincolnshire). [A former suit between Richard Tailor, Robert Pearse, John Holmes, Robert Ringrose, James Smith, and John Flowers, is mentioned].

County/place: Lincolnshire.

Date of commission: 15 November 1591.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 22 December 1591 at Navenby and 8 January 1592 at Beckingham.
