Description

Short title: Webster v Dixon.

Plaintiff(s): William Webster.

Defendant(s): John Dixon, husband of Agnes Dixon, formerly wife of William Webster (plaintiff's father).

Subject of depositions: Lands in Flamborough and Newsam, near Benton (Yorkshire) Bellasice Manor, moiety of the manor (of Argham) and advowson of the church of Argham, Greneak, Gilbertdike, Sandholme, Hithe Implings, Blacktoft, and Bempton, (Yorkshire), belonging to Thomas Holme, John Barnard, Barthw. Abbot, John Raisinge, Thomas Saltmarshe, Brian Layce, Thomas Davye, Rauffe, Raisinge, of New Malton, Elizabeth wife of said Barthw. Abbot, and George Palmer. Touching "deed of jointure" made by William Webster (plaintiff's late father), for the assurance of a jointure to Anne his wife (now defendant's wife).

County/place: Yorkshire.

Date of commission: 23 June 1591.
