Description

Short title: Atkinson v Mitchell.

Plaintiff(s): Anthony Atkinson, Marmaduke Sarvant.

Defendant(s): Henry Mitchell, Alis his wife, and Alexander Hartley.

Subject of depositions: Lease of the rectory of Kingston-on-Hull, alleged to have been made by William Prattie, of Barton-upon-Humber, to plaintiff Atkinson, and the payment by Atkinson to William Richardson, alderman, of money, being a debt of said Prattie, and plaintiff Atkinson being bail for Prattie for £100 owing to Charles Badger, of Staple Inn (London), and payment of money by said plaintiff to John Gardiner and Matthew Brownell, of Hull, merchants, and to John Atkinson, of Westminster.

County/place: Kingston-on-Hull; Middlesex; London.

Date of commission: 23 June 1591.

Additional information: interrogatories and depositions taken 6 October 1591 at Kingston-on-Hull.
